Set up your presets in a few minutes.
These steps work for every Sombra pack, presets and profiles alike. The same guide comes as a PDF in your download.
Download the PDF guide01 · Download and unzip
Get the files onto your device.
Bought on Etsy?
Download from a browser, since the Etsy app can't download files. Open etsy.com, go to Purchases and reviews, and tap Download files next to your order.
Unzip it
On a computer, double-click the zip. On iPhone, tap it in the Files app. On Android, open it in your Files app and choose Extract.
Lightroom can usually import the zip as is too, so if unzipping gives you trouble, skip it.
02 · Install
Pick the app you use.
Lightroom on your phone
Free app on iPhone, iPad and Android.
- Open any photo in Lightroom.
- Tap Presets in the editing tools at the bottom.
- Tap the three dots (•••) and choose Import Presets.
- Select the zip or the XMP files.
Lightroom on desktop
Mac or Windows.
- Go to File, then Import Profiles & Presets.
- Select the zip or the XMP files and click Import.
Signed in with the same Adobe account on your phone? They'll sync there too.
Lightroom Classic
Mac or Windows.
- Go to File, then Import Develop Profiles and Presets.
- Select the zip or the XMP files and click Import.
- Find them in the Presets panel on the left of the Develop module.
Photoshop (Camera Raw)
Mac or Windows.
- Open a photo in Camera Raw.
- Click the Presets icon on the right side.
- Click the three dots (•••), choose Import Profiles & Presets, and select the files.
03 · Make them yours
Apply a look, then adjust.
Presets
Open a photo, find the pack's name in your Presets list, and try a few looks. A quick nudge to Exposure and White Balance usually gets you there. Newer versions of Lightroom also have an Amount slider to turn a look up or down.
Profiles
Open the Profile Browser (the four-square icon at the top of the Edit or Basic panel) and pick a film look. Use the Amount slider, 0 to 200, to set how strong it is.
A whole day of photos?
Get one looking right, then copy and paste those settings onto the rest so the set stays consistent.
04 · If something's not working
Quick fixes.
I can't find my download.
On Etsy, open etsy.com in a browser (the app doesn't do downloads) and go to Purchases and reviews. Anywhere else, check your receipt email.
I imported them, but they don't show up.
Lightroom sometimes hides presets it thinks won't fully fit a photo. In the Presets panel, open the three dots menu and turn off Hide Partially Compatible Presets. In Classic, it's under Preferences, then Presets.
The look is too strong, or different from the examples.
That's normal, since every photo starts from different light. Lower the Amount or adjust Exposure and White Balance. Presets look best on RAW photos but work on phone photos too.
